Berlin is home to some of the continent’s most beloved Christmas markets. The Germans, after all, were the creators of the Christmas market concept and since they were started in the late Middle Ages, they’ve had some time to perfect it. With 80 markets in Berlin alone, you can guess that they’re kind of a big deal. These markets range from whimsical and fairy tale-like to modern and urban offering a little somethin’ somethin’ for everyone in your travel crew.
Glassblowers, candle makers, ivory carving, origami, festive drinks, jewelry, Berlin’s Christmas markets have it all. Don’t succumb to FOMO – get to Berlin this winter.
Markets to check out:
- WeihnachtsZauber at the Gendarmenmarkt. Open until December 31.
- Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church Christmas Market. Open until January 3.
Winter world is Germany’s Winter wonderland. Snow tubing, tobogganing, skating, curling, drink and snack huts – are just some of the fun things that await you here. Not far from the Brandenburg Gate open from October 31, 2015 to January 3, 2016.
