Budapest has been called the best Christmas Market to go to on a budget.
Prices are low and the gifts and souvenirs you can buy are all, well spectacular in their Eastern European way. Vorosmarty Square, each Christmas season, is transformed into a festive market place. The locals will be taking in plenty of special mulled wine and traditional honey cookies. Add in some live music, a puppet show here and there and tons of little mini-wooden shops and you’ll have quite the Christmas market experience in Budapest.
